DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Roger Reinert is now the 40th mayor of the City of Duluth after official swearing-in ceremonies Tuesday at City Hall.
Mayor Reinert was sworn-in by Sixth Judicial Court Judge Dale Harris.
Among those in attendance at the event were the four living former mayors of Duluth including Emily Larson who was defeated by Reinert in November.
In his remarks, Mayor Reinert said his priority focus is on providing affordable and efficient core city services, revitalizing downtown Duluth, growing the city’s tax base and providing housing across all income levels.
New City Council members will be sworn-in Thursday prior to their first agenda session of the new year.
